Proper Dental Care For Strong Healthy Teeth For Seniors

If you want to have strong and healthy teeth and keep them in your old age, it's important to maintain good oral hygiene throughout your life. 

To keep your teeth and your gums in good health, you should visit your dentist every six months for your teeth to be checked and get them cleaned by the oral hygienist.

1. When choosing a toothbrush, choose one that has soft hair. Although many people think that hard hair will get their teeth cleaner, it can damage the teeth and gums. The toothbrushes of the battery have become quite inexpensive and are an effective way to clean your teeth.

2. Brush your teeth at least twice a day. Otherwise, you will have an accumulation of plate on your teeth and it will be more difficult to delete. 

The plate is composed of bacteria and is very sticky. It adheres to the teeth and if it is not brushed regularly, can lead to dental decay and gum disease. 

If you drink coffee, tea, or red wine, brushing will frequently help you prevent them from coloring your teeth.

3. Keep the brush at a 45-degree angle and use a soft movement from top to bottom. Take the time and make sure to brush all the surfaces of the teeth. 

It should take two to three minutes – do not rush in the process. You should not rub your teeth because it can make your gums shrink gradually.
